The Autofocus principle
A laser beam of the wavelength 655nm becomes coaxial the treatment laser eingekoppelt. The radiation scattered by the work piece back is taken up by the sensor with an abbot branch rate of 750 hertz and is evaluated by means of Interferometrie. The so ascertained distance is given as a digital signal and is processed computer-controlled. A regulation steers the impulse of the lens positioning with an exactness from up to 50 µ m.

The dynamic area of the Z axis of 40 mms overcomes all unevennesses during the laser treatment. The measuring method is based on an interferometrical evaluation of the back dispersion of 655nm measuring laser beam.
There is of a sensor- and positioning unit which determines the distance for the work piece precisely and positions the Fokussierlinse precisely on the desired distance.
Full of corners!
The distance regulation in fissures or winding surfaces is given with the Autofocus system easily. Also corners up to 80° are grasped by the autofocus!
The advantage with this system is that you can measure with a pulsed laser during the sweat, or fusing process directly in the sweat point and adjust the focus lens immediately.
