The laser systems of the EVO product line of OR Lasertechnology with a standard x/y/z axis can be enhanced by an optional rotating axis to a four axis laser system. The newest generation of the CNC-rotational axis ensures even more accuracy and repeatability in the processing of rotationally symmetrical work pieces.

Fast, accurate and intuitive

Computer controlled CNC-rotational axis ensure a fast and precise processing in series production and individual manufacturing, with the newest generation of the CNC-rotational axis by OR LASER, this development is maximized. Laser applications on rotationally symmetric work pieces will get even easier and user friendly.

Also usable for heavy, bulky components

With the new system the user has the choice between 2 encoders: a magnetic encoder and a high precision optical encoder with an angle accuracy of less than 3 arc seconds.

The powerful engine in combination with an optimated cambelt-transmission enables the rotational axis to process heavy work pieces optimally.

For processes which cannot be performed on the table level the new rotational axis has a mechanical pivoting option. The new system supports rotational speeds of up to 180 degrees per second. It enables to reference a selected rotational angle and to define the point 0 accurately.

Compatibility with the cam software orlas suite

Another highlight is that the new CNC-rotational axis is absolutely compatible with the new ORLAS SUITE by OR LASER. The innovative CAM software for planning and creation of welding paths.

With the ORLAS SUITE a CAD file of the work piece that is about to be processed can be loaded into the software and can be used for the welding path creation. The system can optimize the welding path automatically which raises the productivity and efficiency of the whole process.
